Dr Wysun Wong is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a sub-speciality interest in hand and wrist problems.

Dr Wong completed a PhD in melanoma treatment at the QEII Medical Centre in Perth before studying medicine in Queensland, graduating in 2001. Dr Wong returned to Western Australia for his surgical training and gained Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2011 after 5 years of intensive training in all aspects of adult and paediatric Plastic Surgery.

Dr Wong was then accepted to participate in a highly sought after Hand and Upper limb fellowship at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand for a further 12 months of training in hand and wrist surgery.

Dr Wysun Wong BSc (Hons), PhD, MBBS, FRACS (Plast) is a Perth born Australian trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

Dr Wong was then invited to participate in the highly sought after Hand and Upper limb fellowship at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand for a further 12 months of training in hand and wrist surgery before returning to Perth after 21 years of training and experience to commence Private Practice in Subiaco.

Consultations

Dr Wong has his own purpose built rooms, designed by himself in Subiaco from where he regularly consults. He also provides consultations at St John of God, Midland.

Dr Wong genuinely cares for his patients and wants the best outcome for every one of them. He takes the time to fully assess and determine the best treatment plan whilst answering all of your questions and any concerns. Dr Wong ensures that your care is individualised and the best for you and your needs.

Dr Wong is professional and extremely thorough during his consultations. Dr Wong will discuss the risks and benefits as well as the expected outcome of any procedure his patients are considering prior to operating. In the operating theatre he is highly qualified, skillful and ensures the highest standards are achieved.

Dr Wong regularly operates at a number of private hospitals with highly experienced theatre and ward staff. These hospitals include South Perth Hospital, St John of God Hospital, Midland and West Leederville Private Hospital. He is also accredited to operate at St John of God Hospitals (Subiaco and Mt Lawley).

Commitment to Plastic Surgery

Dr Wong has a strong commitment to training future Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons, consulting, teaching and operating at Royal Perth Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital. He has also been involved with the Rafiki voluntary surgical missions to Tanzania.
